Savory Alfredo Pasta
Who LOVES Alfredo pasta??? MEEE!! Who NEVER has Heavy cream in their house??? MEEE!!
So what can I do about this problem? One night while rummaging through the fridge with a HUGE craving for Alfredo SOMETHING, I pulled out an 8 oz tub of onion and chive cream cheese thinking....well, this is white, good flavor, its thick like alfredo should be...WHY NOT?? Then a recipe was born!
You can use ANY flavored cream cheese and I also add chicken and sometimes Pork! YUM!!!
Ingredients:
2 tb butter
1 onion diced
8 oz cream cheese (Plain or any flavor Spinach, Artichoke, Sundried tomato, etc.)
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 cup Milk
Diced tomatos
Pasta
Seasoning to taste
Chicken/Pork (Optional)
Melt Butter and saute onion. After onions soften, add the cream cheese and whisk until melted. Then Milk and Parmesan cheese.
Boil your pasta and when doen, por your sauce over...then DEVOUR!
